Where to Next? Race (W2NR) is challenging Nashville locals to prove their knowledge of The Music City with a city-wide scavenger hunt that is sure to test their brains and their brawn.  In 2-person teams, racers will solve clues to locate checkpoints across the city and complete physical and/or mental challenges at each checkpoint.  Checkpoints will include iconic Nashville landmarks, local businesses, and wildcard locations throughout the city.  Where to Next? Race guarantees that all racers will experience Nashville in a brand new way and is perfect for locals seeking adventure, Amazing Race fans, escape room enthusiasts, and travelers who want to engage cities, both familiar and unfamiliar, in new ways.  Teams will compete for cash and non-cash prizes.

Teams can travel between checkpoints on foot, bike, using public transportation, rideshare apps, personal vehicles, etc.  Travel strategy is a major part of the race challenge, so knowing the city’s modes of transportation will be a definite advantage.  The race will be logged live via Instagram @wheretonextrace_ and will showcase the challenges and activities of the race.  Tune in on Instagram to see coverage of the race and watch as the action unfolds in Nashville.

“We want to give people the opportunity to interact in a more authentic way with cities in which they live or visit,” says Dan Evans, Owner and CEO of Where to Next? Race LLC.  With that in mind, the W2NR team has kickstarted the Local Heroes Program to showcase local businesses and encourage local groups to take part in the race. “No spoilers, but our Nashville racers can be sure they’ll be completing a challenge or two at local businesses,” says Evans.

Where to Next? Race is excited to announce Von Elrod’s Beer Garden & Sausage House in Nashville as official host and sponsor for the W2NR Nashville on September 29th. Rachael Glenister, Co-owner of W2NR commented, “The team at Von Elrod’s has been incredibly welcoming to us at W2NR, and they’ve been an incredible group to work with.  We love the atmosphere at Von Elrod’s, and we know our racers will have a great time.  What better way to refuel after the race than with a house made Pretzel and cold beer?”

With a love for beer gardens and a flair for delicious sausage creations, founder Austin Elrod Ray and Jason Brumm have created a modern take on the German tradition.  Von Elrod’s is widely known for serving 36 taps worth of world-class beer with fresh, high quality, hand-cranked sausages.  On W2NR race day, Von Elrod’s has generously offered racers a free pretzel with the purchase of a beer.

Where to Next? Race launched its inaugural race in Washington, DC, on August 4th with a large turnout of racers from near and far. With success on the horizon and excitement building in Nashville for the September 29th race, the W2NR team has decided to hit the road to Austin, TX, for its third race on October 20th.
