Don’t be in a hurry, enjoy life, and for goodness sake, put that phone away. On a recent afternoon office getaway we headed to Del Frisco’s Grille in the Gulch in Downtown Nashville, making a beeline through the large glass doors to the bar, where the sun was shining through floor to ceiling glass windows, and the $6 bar bites were an excuse for gluttony.
There are bar bites and shared plates and the signature cocktails are affordable enough to lure you into lingering and having a few. The food is good enough to fortify you between drinks, and at $6 are reasonably priced to try more than one.

The drinks? Beautiful craft cocktails that were well executed, but more impressive, they came out remarkably fast. The menu features tweaks on classic and contemporary cocktails, from a down home, four-ingredient whiskey concoction to a VIP with sweet hawaiian pineapple-infused vodka.
An hour passed and the orders kept coming. The crowd? They lingered well into sunset, seemingly with nowhere else to be. Take your time. Enjoy the company. You’re not going anywhere in this traffic anyway.

Mary Ann: The Wild Mushroom Flatbread is exquisite! Thick, fresh, meaty shroomies!!! Tennessee Peach= Dreamy.
Ashley: The happy hour menu rocks. Whatever you do, don’t pass up the cheesesteak eggrolls and the VIP.
Claire: Amazing Happy Hour. The VIP and Flatbreads are a must.
Allie: Everything! Great happy hour! Food and drinks were awesome. I can’t wait to go back again!
