Sun Diner’s Donut Breakfast Burger is the BEST, sandwiching a cheese-topped homemade sausage patty between two Krispy Kreme glazed doughnuts. Prior to trying the Burger I was unsure if it would taste good, I was wrong. The fresh meat, the melted Cheese, the fried egg, and of course the Krispy Kreme Doughnuts are such an odd combination that it works. The fact that they’re not using frozen sausage patties also makes a big difference.
Sun Diner serves its burger with a variety of house-fried potatoes. I found myself quite happy with the vehemently crunchy, thick-cut potatoes.

The “Feelin’ Good” Breakfast Burger was artfully presented, on a large white plate, wiped clean of any drips or splatters, the dish exemplifies the restaurant’s elevated-cafe-food credo. Every element of the burger was terrific, from the certified angus beef steak, to the perfectly runny over easy egg, ensuring that I’d need a knife and fork. Fries were of admirable quality as well. They were of the thick, hand-cut variety — crisp on the outside, soft inside, and dotted with good salt-and-pepper seasoning.
