Joshua Hedley Celebrates Debut Album Release At The Basement Tomorrow

Joshua Hedley released his debut album, Mr. Jukebox, last Friday also making his Opry debut to a standing ovation, fulfilling a lifelong dream.  The Third Man Records singer will will celebrate with a record release party tomorrow at the Basement at 8:00 pm.

Hedley wrote nine of the songs on the 10 track album and the project was produced by Skylar Wilson and Jordan Lehning.  The 33-year-old singer began taking classic violin lessons when he was 8 in Naples Florida, but he decided to play country music. He eventually began attending the Mark O’Connor fiddle camp here in Nashville and eventually moved here.

Third Man founder, Jack White, discovered Hedley two years ago. “He saw something in me and wanted to give me an opportunity,” Hedley said. “He’s just like that. He’s not interested in shaping an artist. He wants to sign people who already have an identity and haven’t had an opportunity, and to showcase that on a bigger stage.”

If you think classic country is dead then you need to come to the show, buy the album and your hope will be renewed. To use a tired old line on a fresh classic sound, he’s the real deal.
