Following the release of the tongue-in-cheek tune and music video, “Christmas Is Annoying,” newly GRAMMY®-nominated Americana artist Keb’ Mo’ now embraces the holiday season in his new music video for “Merry Merry Christmas.” Watch (above) Keb’ spice things up at a small-town bar as he wins over the crowd with his infectious smile and unrivaled guitar dexterities.
Shot and directed by Andrew Rozario, Keb’ Mo’ brings new life to the Koko Taylor original as he crashes the local bar scene, creating the pop-up holiday bar of everyone’s dreams. Bringing all that is merry and bright, singing, “Twenty-fifth day of December, Happy as I can be, Santa Claus brought me a present, That the whole world can see!” Keb’s holiday spirit turns an accordion-playing open mic night into the ultimate holiday party, forcing even the most cynical holiday hearts to give into the contagious music. Keb’ Mo’ recruited the help of The Electric Cowgirl Burlesque group of Nashville to bring the party to the next level, transforming the locals into sparkling burlesque performers while Santa and his elves show off dancing moves we never knew they had.
