The Grand Ole Opry continued its birthday month celebration as it partnered once again with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for a night in honor of Country Cares for St. Jude Kids featuring superstar group Alabama, John Berry, Chase Bryant, Mickey Guyton, Jackie Lee, Connie Smith and others.
Throughout the night’s two shows, videos of inspirational moments from Country Cares for St. Jude Kids played, and St. Jude patients Mabry and Tyler took the stage as special guest announcers for the night.
This weekend, the Opry will celebrate with the 10th Annual Opry Goes Pink, with Opry member and superstar Carrie Underwood flipping the switch to turn the Opry’s signature red barn pink. Appearing in addition to Underwood will be Country Music Hall of Fame member Ronnie Milsap, Anita Cochran, Gone West featuring Colbie Caillat, Tegan Marie, Rita Wilson and more, raising awareness and funds for the fight against breast cancer.
