Moon Taxi Planning 10th New Year’s Eve Performance in Nashville

Nashville’s own alt-rock-five-piece band Moon Taxi brings the tradition of their New Year’s Eve shows back to Nashville for the band’s first arena show at Municipal Auditorium. After ringing in 2018 in Atlanta, the upcoming performance in Nashville will mark the band’s 10th New Year’s Eve performance in Music City. Presale tickets will be available starting tomorrow with the general on-sale starting on Friday, September 14 th at 10am. Tickets will be available via www.livenation.com or charge by phone at (800) 745-3000.

Live Nation, AC Entertainment, and National AAA station of the year recipient Lightning 100 will present Moon Taxi, Luthi, and Sparkle City Disco to ring in the new year in Nashville’s first concert arena, constructed in 1962. Located in the heart of downtown and home to Nashville’s Musician’s Hall of Fame Museum, Municipal Auditorium hosted performances by Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, The Allman Brothers Band and more recently – The Chainsmokers, Pretty Lights, Paramore, and Post Malone.

This year has been monumental for the band, with the release of their new album, Let The Record Play, out now via RCA Records. Produced and mixed by Spencer Thomson (the band’s guitarist), Let The Record Play is a document of one of the most creative bands to emerge from Nashville’s immensely fertile landscape – and one that has been thriving on the festival scene for years, bringing their electric performances to Coachella, Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo and beyond. Beloved enough in their hometown to sell out two nights at the famed Ryman Auditorium this past October, this LP, their RCA Records debut, has catapulted them even higher.

Trevor Terndrup (vocals, guitarist), Spencer Thomson (guitarist and producer), Wes Bailey (keyboardist), Tommy Putnam (bassist) and Tyler Ritter (drummer) also recently kicked off their Good as Gold tour and performed at summer festivals such as Bonnaroo, Sloss Music & Arts Festival and Lockn’ Festival.
