Opryland water park “SoundWaves” to open fall of 2018

SoundWaves, the new proposed water park at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center , will be expected to open in the fall of 2018.

Ryman Hospitality Properties, Inc. announced the $90 million project which will include 111,000 square feet of “upscale indoor water attractions and activities” over three different levels to go with another 106,000 square feet of outdoor water amenities.

The water park will have an indoor slide tower, rapid and lazy rivers, activity pool with rock climbing, a 315,000 gallon wave pool with LED movie screen, adult-only and kids pools!

In addition to creating plenty of fun for Tennesseans, the park will also create 1,287 full-time equivalent temporary jobs with a $185 million economic impact.
