If you are looking for a great brunch spot on Saturday morning in Nashville, look no further than Del Frisco’s Grille in the Gulch. A restaurant in the Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group, Del Frisco’s Grille has a large libations menu for any meal, and some great brunch items to check out.
We have been to the other location in Brentwood, TN for dinners and drinks before, but wanted to check it out for brunch (of course). Similar to other Gulch restaurants, Del Frisco’s uses the architecture Nashville is known for in making a warm and inviting atmosphere. Their interior is sleek and modern, with high ceilings and large windows making the space very airy and open. The long bar is decorated with unique and comfortable bar stools. The tables are set so you can view out the large windows looking out over the busy intersections of Demonbruen and 12th.
Parking was fairly easy with access to the garage next to the restaurant or a valet option, both for $4. Just be careful I am sure it gets very congested during certain hours. Our server asked for our drink order and delivered the coffees, waters, mimosas and white sangrias with a smile on his face. The white sangria was EXCELLENT. Yes, it was that good to deserve all caps. It is served with a strawberry peach popsicle.
We were served an array of items from the brunch menu as well as appetizers that are also offered on the dinner menu. The avocado in the Ahi Tuna tacos was very fresh with that delicious hint of lime, the shells crispy, and the tuna perfect. Just make sure you are a fan of tuna before ordering these.
We were pleasantly surprised that Southern Fried Chicken was not the”Nashville Hot Chicken” but a play on it with the spicy maple syrup. Dip the thick cut bacon in the syrup, you’ll thank us later.
Eggs Benedict is one of my favorite breakfast foods. When I go for brunch, I will definitely order Eggs Benedict, or convince my friend to get it so that I can try. I don’t know about you, but brunch will never be the same without it. We have previously wrote on how delicious Del Frisco’s Grille crab-cakes are. So this crab cake benedict was right up our alley. The eggs were cooked good, wish they would have had just a little more of a runny yolk to soak into the focaccia.
To put us right over the edge and into a true food coma, we devoured this beautiful Coconut Cream Pie. It’s not listed on the menu online yet, but do NOT miss out. Whether it’s for the atmosphere or great food, we would highly recommend Del Frisco’s to anyone looking for an excellent Saturday morning brunch experience. Prices are extremely fair, and range all the way from $12 to $17 depending on your meal. The fabulous service here tops everything off, making Del Frisco’s Grille a Nashville gem we highly recommend. Until next time, hope you have a great weekend and happy brunching!
